Rarotonga Restaurants
Eating out is not particularly cheap in Rarotonga as much produce needs to be imported. Larger resort properties offer their own on-site restaurants and bars, and island nights feature the traditional island feast (umu kai) is a highlight to be enjoyed during your holiday in Cook Islands.

Trader Jack's (Avarua)
This famous eating place in the capital town of Avarau serves a varied menu, including mai mai (dolphin fish), which is a delicacy in Rarotonga. Avarua also has a number of western-style lunch and coffee house establishments, at which to satisfy your caffeine habit!
Blue Note (Avarua)
This establishment's popular location with views over Avarua Harbour gives visitors a chance to relax on the wide verandah eating deck to enjoy local coffee and dishes.
Flame Tree (Muri)
The Flame Tree at Muri Beach is a popular restaurant and offers gourmet meals.
Portofino (Tupapa)
The Portofino at Tupapa village also offers gourmet cuisine.

This restaurant is popular also for its excellent menu and food preparation.
